GENERAL
1. The Kent Competitions Management Committee,
hereinafter referred to as "the Committee", shall consist of a minimum
of five members and a maximum of ten. Committee members must be from
separate clubs and three of these members shall constitute a quorum.
2. The Committee is responsible for the
administration and management of all Kent Korfball Association,
hereinafter referred to as the "KKA", competitions running throughout
the normal Korfball season from September to April.
3. The general business of the Committee shall be
conducted by the League Secretary to whom all correspondence must be
addressed.
4. These rules supersede all previous rules.
Alterations to the rules may only be made by the League Management
Committee and ratified by the KKA Executive Committee.
5. All trophies will remain the property of the
KKA and clubs are liable for the cost of repair or replacement should a
trophy be lost or suffer damage whilst in their charge.
6. Unless specifically stated, no trophy may be
won outright. Clubs will be required to sign an official receipt,
recording the fact that the trophy has been presented to them and all
trophies must be returned to the Kent Executive Committee by the
meeting held in March of the year after they have been awarded. Failure
to do so will render the club liable to a fine.
7. All monies due to the committee or the KKA
must be paid to the Treasurer of the Association.
8. All matches shall be played to the Rules of
the game of Korfball as laid down by the IKF and the BKA and as amended
from time to time.

COMPOSITION
OF TEAMS
9. Clubs wishing to
enter a Kent competition will complete an application on the official
form by the date notified by the Committee.
10. All rules apply
to Senior and Junior teams, by age group, unless otherwise stated
herein. Clubs will field legal teams where possible for every fixture.
Illegal teams will be declared to the Referee and the opposing team
Captain or coach before the game commences. Failure to do so by the
'illegal team's Captain or Coach will be defined by rule 15. The result
will be the actual score recorded by the referee at full time. Rule 49
will not be applied unless it is in favour of the non-offending team.
11. The fees for the
Kent Championship, League, Cup and Plate competitions will be shown on
the official entry form. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion
of the Committee but may be subject to an additional fee of up to
£10.00 per team.
12. Players will be
designated as 1st, 2nd or subsequent team players before the
commencement of the competition. Higher placed teams must be named in
full, there cannot be any blank spaces on a team sheet before a second
or lower team is named. In the event of non completed forms prior to
the season, players will be named in the team they first represent.
13. A minimum of 8
players must be named per team. Where additional players are available,
reserves will be equally allocated to a team. All existing players from
the previous season who will be playing in the new season must be named.
14. The status of
any player may be changed during the season by playing for another team
on two consecutive occasions - subject to rule 15. They must be named
in the starting line-up and have played for the whole game.
15. It is permitted
for 2 players to play down one level from their usual team (i.e. 1st
team to 2nd team). Any breach of this rule renders the club concerned
liable to a fine of £10.00 per offending player and the team will
be deemed to have fielded an illegal player, which will be subject to
the action detailed in rule 49.
16. Each team is
allowed to make four tactical substitutions in accordance with the
general Korfball rules. Any further substitutions must be for injured
players only and only with the agreement of the referee and the
opposing team’s captain or coach.
17. If a club enters
more than one team, the first team shall be designated by the club
name, the second suffixed "Reserves". All subsequent teams will adopt a
different name from the club name. Junior second teams will use a
different name to the club name.
18. The highest team
having fixtures on any Sunday must play in favour of a lower team. It
is not permitted for a first team to cancel a fixture in order that a
second or lower team may play. If, for any reason, a club can foresee
that they may fall foul of this rule, a minimum of 7 x 24 hrs advance
notice must be given to and agreed in writing by the Committee.
19. No team may
intentionally play short where other players could have been made
available.
20. Where two teams
play in similar colours, the away team shall change in all Fixtures.
Club official colour will be registered.

PLAYERS
21. All players
wishing to take part in the Kent Championship, Kent League, Kent Cup or
Kent Plate Competition shall be registered with the BKA and on the
competition entry form.
22. All players will
be registered for the season. New players must be registered after
having played five matches. If a player remains unregistered after this
period, they will be termed an illegal player and rule 49 will be
applied.
23. Players may not
represent more than one club.
24. Junior players
will play in their age group, they may not play in a lower age group.
Junior players may play up one age group without permission. Players
may not play up more than two age groups (i.e. from U11 to U16).
25. It is permitted
for female players to play in place of boys or vice versa in U11 and U9
fixtures only, subject to the following:
(a). The designated player(s) will wear a distinctive shoulder band to
define their status.
(b). The Referee and opposition coach must be advised and the identity
of such players disclosed to both officials before the start of the
game.
26. Senior players
are defined as having attained the age of 15. Junior players eligible
for U16 having attained the age of 13 may play in a Senior Competition
only with the prior written consent of the Committee. Any breach of
this rule renders the player an illegal player and the team will be
summarily dealt with under rule 49.
27. A player, once
registered, may not play for another club unless prior approval has
been given for a transfer of registration by the BKA and the Committee.
Both clubs concerned must agree to the transfer and all outstanding
fees must be paid to the existing club before approval may be granted
for the transfer.
28. A player
transferring to another club during the season (September to April)
will be re-registered with the Committee in writing together with a fee
of £10.00. Once the transfer has been approved the player will be
entitled to play for his/her new club 2 x 24 hours after receipt has
been acknowledged by the Committee. Playing before this period will
make the player illegal and render the club liable to the action
detailed in rule 49.

DRESS CODE
29. Referees will
wear a black shirt, or a shirt of a different colour from the playing
teams.
30. Girls must wear
skirts and boys shorts - track suit bottoms or full leggings are not to
be worn. Shirts should be numbered and must be tucked in.
HEALTH
& SAFETY
31. Players and
referees must comply with the Health & Safety requirements, as
follows:
(A). Where a player infringes the compulsory as follows, the referee
shall be empowered to prevent the player from
continuing to play - if necessary, by the use of yellow and red cards.
The following to be treated as compulsory:
(i). All players should wear suitable footwear according to the surface
conditions. Footwear should be fastened correctly to offer mobility,
grip and resilience.
(ii). Jewellery or clothing which may present a safety hazard to the
wearer or others, must be removed.
(iii). Long hair should be tied back in a suitable manner.
(iv). The chewing of gum whilst playing or refereeing is not allowed.
(v). Players are not allowed to participate in any fixture if the
referee suspects that they are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or
banned substances as defined by the BKA or IKF. The opinion of both
coaches or Captains must be considered if the Referee determines that
the player is unfit to play for any of these reasons.
(B). Failure to
comply with the advisory rules contained in this section, is at the
individual risk of the player concerned and the player indemnifies the
KKA of any responsibility for injury or subsequent claim made against
them through their disregard of these rules. The following to be
treated as advisory:
(i). Where spectacles are worn, they should be tied or taped on.
(ii). Clubs should ensure that they have a suitably qualified
First-Aider and first aid box in case of accidental injury.
(iii). All clubs with young players will adopt the use of a consent
form in case of accidental injury and taken to every match. An example
can be provided by the Committee.
(iv). Finger-nails should be cut short to prevent injury to other
players.

EQUIPMENT
32. Posts will be
made available at the venue by the Committee. Clubs are requested to
provide their help where required. Size of posts will be 3.5m for
Senior U16 and U13 games, 3.0m for U11 and 2.5m for U9.
33. A match ball of
the correct size, weight and pattern will be provided by the home team.
Size 5 for Senior and U16 games, size 4 for U13 and U11, size 3 for U9.
34. Scoreboards will
be available at the venue and should be used by the Referee providing a
scorekeeper is appointed. The use of a scorekeeper does not absolve the
referee from the responsibilty of recording the correct score. The
scoreboard will be located on the half way line opposite the main
spectator seating.
35. A balance bench
will be placed either side of the half way line on the side of the hall
opposite the main spectator seating. This will be used as the technical
area for team coaches and reserves. Team coaches must restrict their
movement to no further than 1m from the bench for the duration of each
half. Coaches, Reserves and replaced players (where necessary) will
wear a neutral colour top and remain seated on the bench for the
duration of each half.

FIXTURES
36. Fixtures will be
distributed or published on the competition website at least 14 x 24
hrs before the start of the competition. It is the team Captain’s
responsibility to ensure they are received from their club secretary or
the Committee by this time.
37. Games will be
played in accordance with the fixture schedule. An application to
request changes to the published fixtures must be made 10 x 24 hours
before the start of the competition. Suggestions of acceptable changes
to the fixtures must accompany the request and clubs wishing to effect
such changes must gain the approval of other clubs, teams and referees
affected.
38. Teams should be
ready five minutes before the scheduled start of their fixture.
39. No fixture may
be postponed, except as provided for in rule 37. However, in
extenuating circumstances applications for postponement may be accepted
by the Committee up to 3 x 24 hrs before the scheduled throw-off,
providing that two or more players are absent due to an official
international event that was not published at the start of the season.
40. Where a fixture
is postponed, the clubs concerned must rearrange the fixture on a
mutually agreed date and duly notify the committee. All costs incurred
through such postponement is the responsibility of the club postponing
the original fixture.
41. Where necessary,
the Committee shall be empowered to state when and where games will be
played to facilitate fixture completion.
42. Clubs failing to
fulfil a fixture without notice as per rule 36 or rule 39, shall be
responsible for any costs incurred by the Committee or the KKA in
respect of this fixture. The team concerned will be termed illegal and
action taken as in rule 49.
43. In the event of
a team withdrawing from any competition, all fees paid by that team
shall be forfeit. If fees are not up to date, the club will be invoiced
on a pro rata basis subject to a minimum amount of 50% of the
competition entry fees.
44. If less than 75%
of the team's scheduled fixtures have been completed at the time of
withdrawal all results of these matches will be deleted from the
records. If more than 75% of the scheduled fixtures have been
completed, points and 5-0 wins (2-0 for Juniors) will be awarded to
opponents for the remaining fixtures.
45. If a fixture
cannot be completed before the end of the competition, the original
team making the first postponement will be termed illegal and points
awarded to their opponents.

47. Goal difference
will not determine position in the Championship or League. In the event
of a draw in the winners, promotion or relegation position of any
pool/division or during any Cup or Plate game, the following additional
points will be awarded in order of priority (if applicable) as detailed
below, until a clear advantage is gained by one team contesting the
position with another:
(a). 1 Point for the winner of the fixture(s) between the equal teams.
If equal, then:
(b). 1 Point for the winner of the play-off if hall-time is available.
If equal, then:
(c). 10 minutes extra time, if hall time is available at the Referee’s
discretion. If still equal, then:
(d). 1 Point for the winner of a penalty shoot out. Captain’s will name
all players on the pitch at full time, in turn to take penalties. Home
team first player, then away team first player, etc. If one team has
less players at full time, the opposing captain must name sufficient
players to equal the number of players on the opposing team. If equal,
then:
(e). 1 Point for the winner of a "sudden death" penalty shoot out. The
same players take penalties in the original order. Home team first
player, then away team first player, etc. There is no minimum or
maximum limit for penalties taken, each player must not shoot out of
sequence. The first team to gain a one goal advantage, providing an
equal number of penalties have been taken by both teams, is the winner.
(f). In the event that the teams are still equal, the Committee may use
goal difference to determine position.

MATCH
TIMINGS
48. Games will start
and finish on the referee's whistle. Actual game duration will be as
shown on the competition entry form. Usual game duration will be as
follows:

49. If
teams are unable to field a legal team within 5 min of the published
start time, a score of 5-0 (2-0 for Juniors matches) will be awarded to
the non-offending side. If both teams are in breach of this rule, the
game will be declared void and points for a draw will not be awarded to
either team.
50. Time-keeping is the responsibility of the referee. The
referee may appoint linesmen, time-keeper and record-keeper to record
the scorers on the match form, if necessary.
51. No game may be allowed to run into the time allocated
for subsequent games.

MATCH FORMS
52. Only results on completed official match forms will be
accepted by the committee. It is in the team's interest to ensure they
are fully and correctly completed.
53. Match forms of all competition matches must be received
by the committee on the official form not later than 2 x 24 hours after
the match has been played. Similarly, the committee must be notified if
a match has not been played. If the Committee do not receive match
forms as specified then rule 49 will be applied against the team not
completing them.
54. The Team Captain/Coach is responsible for completion of
the match form, as follows:
(i). All blank boxes to be completed at the top of the form and
deletion of inappropriate information.
(ii). BKA number and Players names in full (i.e. Christian name and
Surname). Include any substitutes.
(iii). Before the fixture, ensure that bold boxes are signed by the
opposition Captain/Coach to confirm they have seen the player list. BKA
cards (or official copy) will be shown to the opposition manager/coach
on request. If there is a discrepancy between the team and the card,
please make a note on the back of your match form.
(iv). At the end of the fixture, get the Referee to insert the result
of the fixture, sign the form and insert a score for your team’s
fairplay and attitude. If score below ‘3’ then support with a short
written statement on the reverse.
(v). Team Captain/Coach to insert a score for the Referee and
opposition team, then sign the form and place it in the League
Management folder/box.
55. Any falsification of a Match Report Form will render the
captain concerned liable to a one game suspension and his club to a
fine of £10.00. A falsified match form will be termed as one
which contains different information to that held by the Committee.

57. The Committee have the
authority to appoint Basic referees without reference to rule 55 in the
following circumstances:
(a). The minimum age level may be waived in individual cases with the
agreement of the Committee and the support of two Level A Referees.
(b). The requirement to complete ten chaparoned fixtures may be waived
by the Committee in the following circumstances:
(i). for a previously qualified referee providing that a letter
confirming their former status is provided by the BKA.
(ii). for an experienced player who formerly refereed in an Area
League, subject to confirmation in writing from two Level A or higher
Referees.
(c). The requirement for a pass result in the BKA Theory Exam may not
be waived unless the potential Referee has previous experience as (i)
or (ii) above, and signs an agreement with the KKA to sit the next BKA
Theory Exam organised by the KKA. If the applicant fails to attend, no
further opportunity will be granted and the individual will repay the
amount paid to him/her in referee fees. In addition, rule 66 will be
applied against the individual’s club as if the Referee had failed to
attend the fixture.
58. An acceptable level of
substantiated complaints against a Referee is 10% (one in ten
fixtures). This will be determined by a referee score of 1 or below
from both teams. Where complaints rise above this level, the referee’s
fee per fixture will revert one level until such time as the level of
substantiated complaints falls within the acceptable ratio based on the
ten most recent fixtures.
59. A referee will be appointed to
each fixture by the Club as designated by the Committee. Where an
unqualified referee is to take charge of a fixture, he/she must be
supervised by a min "A" level Referee. Both referee’s will be paid
providing that rule 60 is complied with and an assessment of the "U"
Referee is completed and submitted with the match form.
60. All referees must be registered
with the Committee. If a club does not have a qualified Referee they
may hire a referee from another club on a game by game basis, providing
that the Referee will not be placed in charge of a fixture with a team
from his own club. An additional ‘hire’ fee of £2.00 will be paid
to the Referee by the ‘hiring’ club before the fixture.

61. Referees will be paid by the
Home team immediately after the fixture.
(a). Where a Level ‘Q’ or ‘A’ is accompanying a ‘U’ Referee, their fee
will revert to £2.50 in order that the total fee payable by the
home team is £5.00 for Junior (U9-U11) fixtures, regardless of
Referee Qualification.
(b). Fees in excess of £5.00 will only be payable for U16 and
older age groups.
(c). Referees will be paid on the following scale, subject to rule
61(a) and 61(b):
Junior Fixtures U9/U11/U13 - £5.00. U16 Fixtures - £8.00.
Senior Fixtures - £10.00
62. Each club will bear an amount
of refereeing commitments proportionate to the number of teams entered
in the competition. All clubs due to play in a competition and
supplying referees will be given fourteen days notice in advance of the
fixture by the Committee, where possible. Clubs without suitably
qualified referees may ‘hire’ the services of another club’s referee as
detailed in rule 60.
63. All referees must make
themselves available for at least five minutes before and after the end
of the match.
64. Referees are to ensure the
correct application of the game rules as detailed by the BKA and IKF
rules and any amendments that are subsequently introduced, to the best
of his/her ability and in their absolute discretion.
65. Referees are required to have
an understanding of these rules and are responsible for the following:
(a). Inspect both team's match form prior to the start of the fixture
and ensure that the named team corresponds to the players on the pitch
and that the form is complete. BKA cards may be requested if required.
(b). The referee is responsible for time-keeping. Games must not run
over into the time allocated for the following fixture. The Referee may
appoint a scorer, to record the scores on the scoreboard.
(c). After the fixture, the Referee will insert the score in the
relevant boxes and the referee's name and signature applied to both
team's copies. A fair play assessment for each team should also be
recorded. A score of ‘1’ being the lowest and ‘5’ the highest. Where a
score of below ‘3’ is applied, a supporting statement explaining
reasons for the score will be submitted to the committee.

66. Failure of the referee to
comply with rule 65 will result in the forfeiture of his match fee in
all cases and penalties being awarded to the referee’s club
cumulatively throughout the season, not on a competition by competition
basis, as described below:
(a). In the first instance a formal warning will be given to the
referee’s club and a £10.00 fine. On the second occassion a
£10.00 fine will be incurred and a final warning issued to the
club.
(b). On the next breach a fine of £10.00 will be payable by the
referee’s club and 1 (one) point will be deducted from the club’s
highest placed team at all age groups.
(c). On subsequent occasions a fine of £10.00 will be payable by
the referee’s club and 1 (one) point will be deducted from club teams
at all age groups.
(d). On any occasion where points are not at stake, the highest club
team remaining in the competition at all age groups will be deemed to
have lost their fixture in the current round. Kent Cup to take
preference over Kent Plate.
67. All Senior teams competing in
any Kent competition must register and make available not less than one
referee for other games on occasions when they have no fixture. Clubs
entering an U16 or U13 competition must register a referee for their
first team at each age group entered. Referees must be eligible to take
charge of games in the competition into which the team is entered and
may be the coach of that team provided they are not a nominated referee
for another team.
68. Newly created Senior teams must
provide a referee with effect from the start of their second full
season. Existing clubs must fulfil rule 62 for any new senior team. New
clubs consisting of over 50% players from other clubs in their opening
fixture will need to provide a named Referee for the following
competition. Failure to register a referee will render the club liable
to a fine of £10.00.
69. In the event of a
non-appearance of the appointed referee, a suitable substitute referee
should be found if possible, but if this cannot be done, the match
shall be postponed. The nominated referee shall be disciplined by
provision of rule 66.
70. Where a match is abandoned by
the referee, the reason for the abandonment shall be stated on the
referees report. After consideration of his report, the Committee may
rearrange the fixture and take further action as they consider
justified.
71. In the case of a formal warning
or sending off, the referee must complete a detailed report of the
incident and submit this for the attention of the Committee within 2 x
24 hrs of the incident.
72. If in the opinion of the
referee, any team is in breach of any rule, the referee must bring the
matter to the attention of the Committee, whether a protest is made or
not.

MISCONDUCT ON THE
FIELD
73. All players must abide by the
game rules.
74. In all cases where a referee
either:
(a) officially warns the captain or coach as to his team's or any of
their supporter’s conduct or behaviour (yellow card), or;
(b) sends a player, coach or spectator off the field or out of the
sports hall, the referee is required to submit a full report of the
incident to the Committee. NOTE: The Club is responsible for the
behaviour of their supporters.
75. Where an individual is awarded
a red or yellow card while playing, coaching or watching a Korfball
fixture, the Committee shall collect reports from the Referee and both
team representatives and will refer these reports to the BKA at their
earliest opportunity.
76. Any red carded individual shall
not be permitted to re-enter the sports hall as a player, coach or
spectator for the remainder of the days play.
77. All decisions made by the
Committee shall be binding, subject to any appeal to the KKA Executive
Committee through the Secretary thereof.

PROTESTS
78. The Committee must be notified
in writing by the team Captain/Coach or Club Secretary of any protest
connected with the playing of a match within 7 x 24 hours of the end of
the match concerned and such protest must be accompanied by a fee of
£25.00.
79. No protest against condition of
the venue or equipment provided by the Committee will be accepted.
80. No protest will be accepted
unless the referee is advised within 5 minutes after the end of the
match and notice of the intention to protest and the reason is included
on the match form and the referee's report.
81. In making a protest to the
committee, failure to comply with rules 72 - 74 will render the protest
invalid.

DISCIPLINE & FINES
82. Player, Team or club discipline
will be reported and dealt with at the earliest opportunity by the
Committee.
83. The Disciplinary Committee will
comprise a minimum of three members chosen from the Committee as
detailed in rule 1. The member from the player's club or the club's of
other parties involved will not be invited to sit on the committee but
may represent their club at an inquiry.
84. The Disciplinary Committee will
consider the submitted evidence and are empowered to impose such
punishment as they consider justified, to a maximum limit as specified
below:
(a). Either reprimand, or;
(b). to reprimand and fine up to £50.00, or;
(c). to reprimand, fine up to £50.00 and deduct points from club
teams, or;
(d). suspend for a definite period and fine up to £50.00 and
deduct points from club teams.
85. The Committee shall have the
power to deduct points from teams in compliance with these rules and
fine clubs or teams to a maximum of £50.00. If this is not deemed
sufficient, the KKA Executive Committee may be asked to approve an
adequate penalty.
86. All fines due to the Kent
Korfball Association must be paid within one calendar month of their
imposition.
87. Any outstanding fines after
this period will be doubled and must be paid within two calendar months
of the date of the original penalty. Outstanding fines after this
period will be subject to a further review by the Committee, which may
lead to suspension of the team or club concerned until such time as the
fine is paid.

APPEALS
88. In the event of a club
appealing against any punishment imposed, the protest does not mean
that any team or player concerned is/are free to play. A ruling must be
obtained from the Committee.
89. In the event of a club
appealing against a fine, the fine must be paid to the Treasurer prior
to the appeal being considered.
90. Any appeal against a decision
of the Committee must be made in writing to the Secretary of the
Executive Committee within seven days of notification to the club(s)
concerned. A deposit of £25.00 must accompany such an appeal and
this deposit may be liable to forfeiture at the discretion of the
Committee. On the condition that 14 days notice is given, the appeal
will be heard at the next Executive Committee meeting following receipt.
91. In lodging an appeal with the
committee, failure to comply with rules 88 - 90 will render the appeal
invalid.

KENT CHAMPIONSHIP
92. The Kent Championship will
comprise of pools in which National League teams must compete with Kent
based teams. Pool results from the first phase may be used to determine
what Pool the team progresses to in the second phase.
93. All fixtures in the Kent
Championship including the final and play-offs should be completed
before the start of the National League, where possible.
94. Final results for the
Championship must arrive at a team placing from First to Last in Kent.
Where teams are level on points, rule 47 will be utilised to determine
final position. The opportunity to improve on the previous season’s
ranking must be given to all teams.
95. Pool placing for the start of
the next season will initially be determined by the following, subject
to confirmation by the Committee prior to the start of the Kent
Championship:
(a). The number of Pools will be as published by the Committee.
(b). Each position within the Pools will be numbered. Top position
being numbered 1.
(c). Final team placing from the previous Kent Championship will be
allocated all teams. If new or unseeded teams are entered they will be
allocated the next available number in alphabetical order. No more than
two teams from one club are eligible to enter each pool.
(d). The Committee will prepare Pools for the competition and each
position shall be numbered from 1 onwards. Each team will be entered in
order until all positions are filled subject to the requirements below.
(e). A Reserve team may not be listed in the same Pool as their First
team.
(f). Pools must not contain more than two teams from any one club.
(g). Where a team placing corresponds with para (e) or (f), the team
will be moved along the grid to the next available position. Following
teams will fill the gap created from the highest available position.
96. Rules for the Championship will
be as detailed in the KKA General Competition Rules, of which these
form a part thereof.

KENT LEAGUE
97. Divisions will be formed in
keeping with the previous seasons results, depending on the number of
teams entered in the league. Divisions will consist of a maximum of 10
teams.
98. Division 1 will be restricted
to teams of the highest calibre in Kent. Where a team progress to the
National League from Division 1, an additional team will be promoted
from Division 2. Teams due to be relegated will not be "saved" by the
winner or joining the National League.
99. No more than two teams from
each club will be represented in each Division.
100. At the end of the competition
the position of each team will be determined by points awarded. Where
two or more teams contest a position for either promotion or
relegation, rule 47 will be applied.
101. Division winners and
runners-up, if eligible will be promoted, subject to rules 98 and 99.
The bottom placed team(s), to a maximum of two teams, if necessary,
will be relegated in accordance with the results from the season and as
previously notified on the competition entry form.
102. If the number of teams
entered exceeds the maximum number for three Divisions, Division 3 will
form into sub-area or regional Leagues. Thus ensuring that a newly
formed team will have no longer than two seasons to reach the highest
standard of play in Kent and be able to progress to the National League
within three seasons.
103. Newly created teams will
enter the League in the lowest Division available. Where a team pulls
out of, or is relegated from the National League, they will enter
League Division 1. In this event, the number of promoted and relegated
teams throughout the League will be amended accordingly to maintain the
best teams in their respective Division or a play-off may be required
at the discretion of the Committee.
104. On application to the
Committee, a Junior team may be entered in an "out of area" competition
if the Committee has insufficient entries from that age group to
operate a competition.
105. Rules for the League will be
as detailed in the KKA General Competition Rules, of which these form a
part thereof.

KENT CUP, LEAGUE CUP &
PLATE
106. The Cup, League Cup &
Plate will be knock-out competitions. In the event of scores being
level at full time, rule 47 will be applied.
107. Eligible teams must
officially enter the Cup, League Cup & Plate at the start of the
season and be fully paid up before the first round draw.
108. The draw will take place on a
Sunday to be nominated by the Committee during or immediately following
usual playing hours.
109. Every team drawn must be
witnessed by 2 players from different clubs to ensure fair play. The
draw for the following round may not be made until all fixtures of the
previous round are complete.
110. Entries to the Kent Cup,
League Cup & Plate Competitions will be determined by the Committee
with due regard to a teams performance in the previous season.
111. Players representing one team
may not play for another team in the first two rounds of the
competition at the same age group. However, rule 15 may only be applied
in the following conditions:
(a). the team in which the player is named has been knocked out of the
competition.
(b). other players are unavailable.
(c). substitute for injury only, at the Referees discretion.
112. A Kent Junior Plate
Competition will not be operated.
113. The Kent Junior Cup
competition will be structured in the same manner as the Kent League
Cup providing the number of entries satisfies a minimum of eight teams.
114. Where the minimum number of
Junior entries at each age group is not attained a Junior Cup Final
will be played between the Championship Winner and the League Winner.
Where the same team has won both competitions, the other place in the
final will be offered to the runner-up of the Kent League. If this team
is unable to field a team, then the runner-up of the Championship will
be invited to play. If necessary, invitations will fall to the next
best placed team in the League firstly, then the Championship.
115. Rules for the Kent Cup, Kent
League & Plate competition will be as detailed in the KKA General
Competition Rules, of which these form a part thereof.

PROGRESSION TO NATIONAL
LEAGUE
116. Teams wishing to progress
to the National League must comply with the following Kent Area rules:
117. The team must satisfy the
National League rules in force at the time and must be a competitive
Div 1 team with the full backing of the KKA.
118. The team must introduce a new
team to the Kent League to maintain the club's representation of teams
at the same level as the previous season - unless the club has a
minimum of four Senior teams already registered with the KKA.
